How to Buy a Vehicle

1. Find the vehicle that suits you best

Begin by searching for a car in the United States that matches your preferences and requirements. The GR8Auto Export platform provides a convenient search system with advanced filters, allowing you to explore a wide range of vehicles available at leading auctions. You can browse all listings without registration — an account is only required if you plan to place bids. Creating and activating your profile takes just a few minutes.

After signing up, you will be able to:

  • save selected vehicles in one place;
  • add lots to your watchlist;
  • check final prices of completed auctions.

GR8Auto Export is continuously improving — new features and tools are regularly introduced to make the user experience even more comfortable.

2. Make a refundable security deposit

To take part in auctions, a refundable deposit is required in accordance with the rules of Copart and IAAI auction houses. GR8Auto Export does not charge any extra commissions for bidding. You may request a refund of your deposit at any time through your personal account. Once the payment is credited, you can start placing bids immediately.

If you win an auction, the deposit will be temporarily held until the vehicle is fully paid for. If your bid is unsuccessful, the funds are automatically released and can be used for other auctions or returned to your bank account.

The amount of the deposit defines your bidding limits:

  • up to USD 2,000 — bidding up to USD 20,000 on a maximum of 3 lots at the same time;
  • over USD 2,000 — equals 10% of your total bidding capacity, while the number of lots is calculated based on the rule: USD 4,000 deposit = 1 active lot.
3. The auction begins — enjoy the process

Decide on the maximum price you are ready to pay for the chosen vehicle. A built-in calculator helps you estimate all related expenses in advance. After confirming your order, the car will be submitted for bidding through GR8Auto Export during the live auction session.

Car auctions in the USA are held in two main stages:

  • Pre-Bid — preliminary bidding that lasts several days and starts from $0;
  • Live Auction — real-time bidding that begins with the highest Pre-Bid offer.

If no higher bids are placed during the live stage, the Pre-Bid leader becomes the winner. This system helps buyers secure vehicles at the most favorable price.

4. Complete the payment and receive your car

After winning an auction via GR8Auto Export, you will receive bank details and step-by-step instructions for making an international transfer to the United States.

Once the payment is confirmed, we arrange vehicle collection, provide additional photo documentation, and start preparing the car for shipment. Our team supports you the entire process of importing a vehicle from the USA.

You can monitor delivery progress and document status in your personal account.

All you need to do is wait for your vehicle to be delivered straight to your location.

For more information about the following steps, please visit the “After Purchase” section, where you will find a detailed guide covering all stages after winning an auction, including the full import process.
